Day 41: Linton to Cheveley

Well Spring has well and truly sprung! The day was perfect... Blue sky, little fluffy white flowers and butterflies.

We started out with a climb up the hill ... Of course! But the view back to Linton was worth the effort.

Then off into the countryside with a view of the wind turbines in the distance.

We then reached a crossroad of an old Roman road with the ancient Icknield Way

Leaving the Roman Road, we were back off across the countryside.

Remember those wind turbines from earlier... well here they are coming closer

and closer

As we neared Cheveley, there were more and more beautiful horses (Cheveley is near NewMarket where the horse races are and where the Queen stables some of here horses)

As is our wont we stopped at a little village pub for lunch and look what I found in the Ladies lol.

But back to the countryside and our lovely Spring day...

We crossed a newly furrowed field and with the limestone mixed with the earth it took on the colour of mocha... it was absolutely gorgeous!!!

Then on to our destination and a good night's rest.
