Day 42: Cheveley to Thetford

A bit of a long day today... 32km. But your intrepid walkers took it in their stride, so to speak. We set of along the Icknield Way on a long narrow path out of the village.

Then through some woodlands

and out into the countryside in another gorgeous Spring day!

Someone had even mowed the path for us... Would you believe it?

We hadn't encountered sheep for a while buth there they were: so we said Hi and moved on.

I love people with a sense of humour! And this person, certainly had that! I missed the best part of the sign in the photo so I'll explain.. They had a statue of an elephant and the sign read Beware... Protected by an elephant with attitude!

We then spent the rest of the day walking through forest land

and following mainly the Icknield way but also a multitude of other trails.
