Day 46: Beccles to Lowestoft

Today we had a relatively easy walk, both in distance and terrain. We said goodbye to the inhabitants of Beccles.

Walked past the Marina...

and followed the Angles Way through the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads, which is a large network of navigable a rivers and waterways.

This network forms the largest protected wetland in Britain.

As we approached Lowestoft we left the waterway and headed towards the town.

On reaching town we made our way down to Ness Point which is the Eastermost point in Britaino . And I was more than a little disappointed as we made our way through an industrial part of a working port. However when we reached the point

there was some attempt at marking it with a large paved circle...

with a plaque in the middle noting POINT THREE OF OUR LONG WALK..

surrounded by distances to various points of interest. The two of most interest to us being the one noting point one on our journey

and the one marking point two

and two funny old people trying their hand at a selfie.
