Day 54: Welney to March

Another short day after a wonderful stay at the Old Schoolhouse. Clive and Sally were so welcoming and we had our own lounge room with a large telly and Clive lit a lovely fire for us and we chatted for a while ... Most civilised. Then this morning after an enormous breakfast Sally packed us off with all the left over croissants and brioche from breakfast.
We walked back to Welney where we had lunch yesterday and then, continuing to follow the Hereward Way, we had to walk along the road for a time. Ouch... so hard on the feet. But soon we were back into the fields and this time, as well as the usual rape and cereal crops...

...we had huge fields of little baby pea plants.

When we reached the river Nene the path turned to follow it all the way into March, giving a view of the long boats traveling along the river and the wind farm on it's other bank.
