Day 55: March to Peterborough

A lovely Spring day. We continued along the Hereward Way which followed the River Nene for a while.

Then we wended our way through agricultural land... Oh how I enjoy the symmetry of those newly furrowed fields.

Then up onto the embankments by the drainage ditches... The fen country seems to go on for ever. This particular embankment was so overgrown I nearly lost Keith in the jungle and boy do those nettles sting... Ouch!

We had lunch in the pub at Whittlesey and this patient fellow was waiting outside the pub.

Then back along the side of the River Nene into Peterborough past a pair of homemakers preparing for parenthood.
