Day 8: Portreath to Perrianporth

A great day! Not trusting the weather we set off in our wet weather gear despite the vast quantities of blue sky but the steapest climb out of Portreath soon had us removing any extra clothing that we could decently discard. The day was absolutely perfect for walking and our step grew lighter as we walked to the tune of surf rolling in beneath us and skylarks singing overhead. What more could you want? Well certainly not the steep terrain that we soon encountered but it is a coastal path and so one needs to expect such trials lol. Those same gods who had chuckled at us yesterday were at it again today. They had sent giants to put steps in the side of the hillside.... I'm not sure how long your legs need to be to reach some of those steps but they certainly were not designed for someone with ducks disease like me. Never the less we kept on keeping on and we made it to the top, then down to the bottom then to the top again... Hope you're getting my drift here. As always the views were spectacular and all in all a great days walking.
