Day 9: Perranporth to Newquay

Lovely, Lovely, Lovely day ?.. Sun surf and skylarks - what more could anyone wish for. The coastal path out of Perranporth led across the beach

And then up over the dunes and with the surfers waiting for a break to our left and the skylarks doing what they do best (just larking around) on our right we ambled on our way to the music of surf and birdsong.
As we left the beach to head up over the dunes to the cliff tops we found a cave in the rocks with a view out to sea and a spot to rest a and recheck our bearings.

Then on we walked. A relatively short 16 km day in the sunshine.

We briefly left the path to cut up to a lovely little thatched pub in Crantock for lunch then on to Newquay where we booked into our hotel for two nights... Tomorrow, a day do rest, recuperation and washing lol! The surfers were out in force when we arrived and we spent a delightful couple of hours gazing from our hotel room window at the gorgeous view over Newquay Bay.
